SAN FRANCISCO MASTER SUITE

The existing master-suite sits at the top of the 3 story town home with views of the San Francisco bay that encompass the Bay bridge, Alcatraz Island and the Golden Gate Bridge. The owners wanted to increase the livability of the space but, were limited by Homeowner Association restrictions to surface changes only.

In addition to the stunning views there was an existing marble fireplace and abundant natural daylight. Unfortunately at night, the only lighting came from bedside lamps and the glow of the television when it was on.

The new design highlighted the 10 foot ceilings with a coved soffit which incorporated indirect lighting and a speaker system for the new flat screen TV. A dramatic ceiling- mount fixture further accented the space. The vanity area of the master bath was redesigned to create additional storage and correct the poor overhead lighting. All new furnishings, fixtures and window coverings, designed and built for the client, completed the project.
